Please book your tickets ahead on Eventbrite.

The fabulous award-winning illustrator and author Sophy Henn (Bad Nana, Lifesize, and her latest, ‘I Hate Everything’) will be entertaining and delighting children and adults alike with her unique illustration expertise and Q & A session which starts at 10:15 a.m. Come along and try your hand at drawing one of Sophy’s characters! £5 for one child, £8 for two children and £10 for three children. Accompanying adults are free. To book for Sophy’s event, click here.

Opposite the museum in the Pollinator’s Garden, Brighton-based author and illustrator Sophie Bresnahan will be telling stories based on her debut children’s story ‘The Mouse and the Mushroom Blooms’.  Follow a little lost mouse (who doesn’t know her own magic yet!) and be prepared for an educational and inspirational tale all about the wonder of mushrooms and finding your own place in the world.

Sophie will be reading at 11 o’clock, 12 noon and 1pm. (Donations/pay what you can), in the Pollinator’s Garden, opposite Arundel Museum. If the weather is bad, the storytelling will be held in the Museum. Booking not essential, but please register your interest here if you would like.

On Sunday 9th March there is yet another amazing award-winning children’s author, Vashti Hardy (Brightstorm Chronicles, Griffin Gate series, Harley Hitch and many more) who will be answering questions and talking about her fantastic books.  Among many others, Vashti’s book ‘Wildspark’ won the Blue Peter Book Award ‘Best Story’ in 2020 and her bestseller ‘Brightstorm’ was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. If you love a good story and love to write your own, come and ask Vashti for some tips! £5 for one child, £8 for two children and £10 for three children. Accompanying adults are free. Then finally, at 1.00pm an interactive book reading accompanied by percussion instruments. Donations / pay what you can, booking not essential, but please register your interest here if you would like
