Talk by Chris Hare: The Civil War in Arundel, Sussex

In 1642 the English Civil War came to Sussex, with royalists fighting parliamentarians. Find out more with speaker Chris Hare.

This year Arundel Museum is working with Chris Hare from the ‘History People’ to find out more about what was happening during the Civil War.

During the war, West Sussex was on the front line: two invasions, two sieges, heretics, rebels, scavenging, and wrecking, and no town suffered more than Arundel.
